BIMI
Show your logo next to your email with an optional BIMI record.
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) lets mailbox providers that support it show your logo next to your messages. It is optional: a domain verifies without it, and usend never checks it during verification.
The domain page lists a BIMI record under BIMI (optional):
| Name | Type | Value |
|---|---|---|
default._bimi | TXT | v=BIMI1; l=https://acme.com/logo.svg; |
The logo URL in the suggestion is a placeholder. Replace it with the HTTPS address of your own logo.
Requirements
- A DMARC policy of
p=quarantineorp=rejectat 100%. BIMI is ignored withp=none. See DMARC. - The logo as an SVG Tiny PS file served over HTTPS.
- Some providers, Gmail among them, also require a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or a Common Mark Certificate, linked with an
a=tag:v=BIMI1; l=https://acme.com/logo.svg; a=https://acme.com/vmc.pem;.
Auto-configure and the downloadable zone file leave the BIMI record out, because the logo address is yours to choose. Publish it by hand when you are ready. The DMARC analyzer shows whether it is in place.
